A super 18/24 lb siege gun. These large pieces were the main stay of the artillery siege trains and provided the fire power required to break down the fortifications and city walls. The 8" siege mortar was used for the many static battles of the Mutiny for breaking down defenses or used to break up attacking formations by defenders. These mortars were towed into position then set up with the wheels removed. We have provided the wheels so you can use it towed see out towing artillery elephant or set it up in firing position with wheels detached. The model comes with a loading davit which could can be enhanced with some wire and a cannonball to make a very nice model. It model comes with ramage barrels and a cannon ball pile. |
